Each October, IITAV hosts its flagship Annual Awards & Gala Diwali Celebration — a signature gathering that recognises excellence across research, entrepreneurship, community leadership and lifetime contribution to the IIT ecosystem.
In 2025 the event was held at Spirit of India, Preston. It was the first sold-out event in IITAV's history. VVIP guests included Hon. Minister Steve Dimopoulos, Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar, Mr. Jerry Andrews (GM, Engineers Australia), and Prof. Thas Nirmalathas (Dean, UniMelb Engineering).
